The P1000-LED polarimeter is the device of choice for simple laboratory applications in companies and institutes. It is ideal for practical training. It measures optical rotation according to the half-shade principle, with the measurement results being read via an eyepiece and two noniuses. Due to its simple operation, pharmacies also use this polarimeter for incoming and outgoing goods inspection of medicines. In the main field of training in industry or at universities, it is used for practical exercises and experiments on the kinetics of cane sugar inversion, the mutarotation of glucose or the determination of the concentration of polysaccharides by starch hydrolysis.
Basic functions
- Sample chamber for measurement tubes up to 220 mm in length
- Very low maintenance thanks to high-performance LED with a service life 2000 times longer than conventional sodium discharge lamps
- Two measurement tubes (100 and 200 mm long) with bubble trap for correct filling included in the scope of delivery
